Premier University got its permission as a university under the Goverment of Bangladesh in December 05, 2001 and launched its academic programs in January,2002.

The faculty of Engineering started its operation from very beginning.The faculty initially comprised only the department of Computer Science & Engineering(CSE ) .To provide to the needs of the time a new department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) has established as the second depaertment under this faculty.In future,this faculty will expand its department such as Architecture.
